CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's golf team continues its season this Saturday and Sunday at the Princeton Invitational at the Springdale Golf Club. The 10-team tournament will include six of the seven Ivy League programs, affording Harvard the opportunity to get an early look at its competition for championships in April. The women will play two rounds on Saturday and will continue action with the final round on Sunday. 

Last Time Out
At the Nittany Lion Invitational, the Harvard women finished seventh, with a team score of 899, plus 35. Anna Zhou led the team, tying for fourth in the individual competition with round scores of 73, 70 and 72 on Penn State's par 72 Blue Course. Zhou tied for second on par five holes, averaging 4.58 strokes per hole. Freshman Belinda Hu completed her first collegiate tournament tied for third overall with 31 at par holes and Harvard ranked second overall totaling 173 at par holes. 

Scouting Harvard
Anna Zhou, Michelle Xie, Belinda Hu, Jessica Luo and Lita Guo will represent the Crimson in the team competition. Harvard was also allowed an individual entry, which will be filled by Ji Hae Lee, making her season debut at Springdale. 

Heading into the tournament, Anna Zhou ranks 52nd in the nation on par five holes, averaging 4.58 strokes per hole. Rookie Belinda Hu has also broken into the national rankings, taking 27th with 13.67 pars per round. 

Scouting the Field
Six of the seven Ivy League programs will converge at Princeton this weekend along with Delaware, Georgetown, Seton Hall and Rollins which will also compete in the 10-team event. Columbia edged out Georgetown in the 2016 competition by two strokes, and Harvard's Michelle Xie was the individual champion. 

The Course
The Springdale Golf Course was originally designed in 1915 and was revised in 1926. From the blue tees, the course is 6380 yards with a course rating of 70.5 and slope of 131. Par for the course is 71. The clubhouse was a civil war era farmhouse and was a gift of the Princeton Class of 1886. 

What's Next?
The women's golf team is slated for its third tournament of the fall season Oct. 6-8 at Yale.
