Women’s Golf Adds One as Class of 2023

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard golf coaches and team members will welcome one first-year to the women's team: Meiyi Yan.

"We are proud that our incoming first years and team members are representative of the academic excellence embodied by Harvard," said the coaching staff. "They each have impressive academic credentials and have been entrusted with other leadership roles. They also continue to demonstrate a passion for volunteerism on special and meaningful causes, which makes us extremely proud."

Meiyi decided golf would be her sport after five years of competitive figure skating and one season of ice hockey.

  • Five AJGA top-five finishes, including a win at the 2016 AJGA Preview at Innisbrook
  • Won the Florida State High School Girls Class 1A team title (2017, 2018)
  • Won the Florida State High School Girls Class 1A individual title (2018)
  • Florida Dairy Farmers Miss Golf (2018)
  • Won the IMG Tour Championship (2018)
  • Qualified for US Women's Amateur (2018)
  • Won the Golfweek International Junior Invitational (2018)
  • Ranked 46th nationally in the class of 2019 (Rolex AJGA Rankings)
  • Ranked 116th nationally in the country (Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings)
  • AP Scholar with Distinction, College Board (2018)
