Women’s Golf Ends Fall Slate with Sixth-Place Outing at UD Lady Blue Hen Invitational

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – Playing in its final tournament of the calendar year, Harvard women's golf finished sixth at the UD Lady Blue Hen Invitational, held Oct. 19 at Rehoboth Beach Country Club.

Sophomore Chloe Royston led the Crimson in 11th-place, finishing nine over, while first-year Meiyi Yan and senior Jessica Luo tallied top-30 finishes in 22nd and 29th, respectively. The team ended the fall with a sixth-place finish or better in three of four events.

Yan led the team after one round with a two-over 74, while Anina Ku was close behind at 76. Royston tallied a team-leading two birdies in the opening round. The second 18 holes saw Yan and Ku each finish four over at 76, with Ku posting four birdies during the round.

Sunday's action saw Harvard match its opening round score of 304, with Royston's even par 72 pacing the squad.  

Harvard Highlights

  • Royston led the Harvard scoring for the second time this fall, after previously winning the Dartmouth Invitational Sept. 14-15.
  • Harvard had the third-most pars as a team with 162, with Royston tallying the third most individually in the field with 39.
  • Ku led the Crimson with seven birdies.
