ALBANY, N.Y. - Following a torrid month where she scored 12 goals, junior Sydney Daniels has been named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Month for February. The award is the second from the conference office for Daniels this month, as she was also named the conference's Player of the Week Feb. 16.
Daniels scored six more goals than any other ECAC Hockey skater during the month of February, potting 12 goals to go with four helpers for 16 points over 11 games. The Southwick, Massachusetts native tallied five-multi goal outings and tied a career-best three points in games at Boston University (Feb. 9), Union (Feb. 13) and Colgate (Feb. 27). Daniels also matched a career-best with a five-game point streak from Feb. 13-27, recording 10 points over the span.
The left winger ended the 2015-16 campaign as Harvard's top goal scorer with 21 on the season, and averaged 1.00 points per game over 31 contests. The Crimson tallied 17 victories on the season, including 12 in ECAC Hockey action.
