Women’s Hockey Picked Seventh in the ECAC Hockey Preseason Poll

ALBANY, N.Y. – With the 2018-19 season fast approaching, Harvard women's hockey was voted to finish seventh in the ECAC Hockey preseason coaches' poll, as announced on Wednesday, Sept. 12. 

Clarkson led the way in voting by coaches, earning 11 of the 12 first place votes. Colgate and Cornell were slotted second and third, with Colgate earning one first place vote. 

Princeton was selected fourth, followed by Quinnipiac and St. Lawrence tied for fifth. Harvard is slotted in the seventh spot, with Yale following in the eighth spot. The poll rounded out with Rensselaer, Union, Dartmouth, and Brown respectively. 

This season's top five remains the same as last season. Colgate gained two spots, while St. Lawrence fell three spots. Clarkson and Quinnipiac earned the same spots as they did last year. 

The Crimson is primed for the 2018-19 season, only graduating four seniors, while adding seven new freshmen poised to make an impact.

Harvard is set to begin the 2018-19 season on Oct. 12 with an exhibition contest against McGill at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center.
