WAKEFIELD, Mass. – The Women's Hockey Commissioners' Association (WHCA) has named Kristin Della Rovere its Player of the Month for December 2019. This is the second monthly honor this season for Della Rovere and the first time in her career she's been recognized by the WHCA.
The sophomore's seven points during the month of December ranked second in the nation by just one point, while her six goals led all NCAA players. Three of her six tallies were game-winners including one in overtime on the power-play at Brown.
On Dec. 6 at Yale, Della Rovere posted her second hat trick of the season and the first natural hat trick by a Harvard player since 2012. The next day she raked in two more points at Brown and closed out the month with a two-goal performance in Harvard's 7-1 win at No. 9/9 Boston College.
Harvard returns to action this weekend at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center taking on Quinnipiac and No. 7/7 Princeton.
