CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 10/10 Harvard women's hockey team (12-9-1, 11-4-1 ECAC Hockey) continues conference play this weekend, hosting No. 2/4 Cornell (19-1-3, 13-0-3 ECAC Hockey) and Colgate (13-10-7, 7-6-3 ECAC Hockey). Friday's tilt with the Big Red is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start while Saturday's matchup will begin at 3 p.m. Both contests will be broadcast on ESPN+.
What to Know
- Last weekend's win over Dartmouth brought the Crimson's series sweeps total to three so far this season. Harvard can still sweep up to three more teams, and if so, would be the most single season series sweeps since 2014-15.
- To date, Harvard is 3-0-1 when scoring three goals and 8-0-1 when scoring four goals or more. On the other end, the team is 1-9-0 when scoring less than three goals.
- This season, Harvard is 11-0-0 when leading after two periods.
- On Saturday, Harvard will honor Joe Bertagna, the first head coach of the women's ice hockey program at Harvard, for his induction into the Women's Beanpot Hall of Fame.
At the Helm
One of the most well-known coaches in college hockey, Katey Stone, enters her 25th season as The Landry Family Head Coach for Harvard Women's Ice Hockey. Throughout her storied career, Stone has coached 13 Olympians, 24 All-America selections, six Patty Kazmaier winners and has accumulated a 476-239-53 overall record, prior to the 2019-20 season.
Harvard is set to faceoff against Boston College on Tuesday, Feb. 11 in the Beanpot consolation game. Puck drop is at 5 p.m. Following the Beanpot, the Crimson will play its final road games of the regular season Feb. 14-15 at Rensselaer and Union.
