Ford, Romeo Earn IWLCA All-Region Accolades

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior attacker Marisa Romeo and junior defender Emma Ford have been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Northeast Region second team, it was announced Friday.

Romeo, who earned All-Ivy League first-team honors and who hails from Syracuse, New York, leads Harvard with 29 goals and 48 points this season. A three-time All-Ivy honoree, Romeo recorded at least one point in 14 games this spring and tallied three or more goals on five occasions. Romeo ranks seventh in program history with 155 career points and is tied for ninth with 114 career goals.

Ford, a product of Skaneateles, New York, was selected to the All-Ivy League first team for the second-consecutive season.  She has caused 12 turnovers, collected 29 ground balls and won 10 draw controls during her junior campaign.

Harvard advanced to the Ivy League tournament for the third-straight year and finished the season 9-7 overall and 4-3 in the Ancient Eight.
