Women’s Lacrosse Announces Class of 2020

Head coach Lisa Miller announced the addition of eight newcomers for the 2017 season.


CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lisa Miller, the Carole Kleinfelder Head Coach for Harvard Women's Lacrosse, announced the addition of eight members to the team as the class of 2020.

"We are excited to welcome eight exceptional young women to the Harvard lacrosse family," stated Miller. "We feel their relentless pursuit of learning and improvement, positive approach, passion, and competitive purpose, combined with their team-first mentality and willingness to do the little things that make teams exceptional, will be a perfect fit for the values and goals of the program. My assistants and I are thrilled and looking forward to mentoring these young women as they enjoy their Harvard journey." 

Five of the incoming freshman hail from New York, with two others coming from Pennsylvania and one native of California rounding out the class.

Harvard is coming off a 9-7 season that saw it finish fourth in the Ivy League with a 4-3 mark. The Crimson earned a spot in the Ivy League tournament for the fifth-straight season, but fell to nationally-ranked Penn in double overtime.

Four-year starter and letterwinnner at forward for Agnes Irwin … Senior captain … Member of Blue Ultimate Goal Lacrosse team … Member of the Under Armour All-American Philadelphia underclassmen team in 2014 and 2015, and a part of the senior team in 2016 … Named the 2016 Under Armour Senior All-American … Named to the All-Main Line first team in 2015, and the second team in 2014 … Chosen for the All-Delco second team in 2015 … Named USLA Academic All-American in 2015 and 2016 … Led Agnes Irwin to three-consecutive InterAc championships … Earned a PAISSA state championship in 2015 … All-time leader in assists for Agnes Irwin … Also lettered for four years in soccer, and graduated as the all-time leading goal scorer and points leader …. Awarded PA 7th District Congressional Scholar Athlete. 

Sara Cami | Midfield/Defense | 5-6 | San Francisco, Calif. | San Francisco University High School
Four-year starter and letterwinner at midfield and defense for San Francisco University High School … Senior captain … Three-year member of the Bearlax … Led San Francisco University High School to the 2016 California Interscholastic Federation North Coast Section championships … Named to the Marin County Athletic League (MCAL) first team in 2013 and 2014, and to the second team in 2015 … Named Bay Cities League (BCL) player of the year in 2016 … Earned academic All-American honors in 2015 and 2016 … Voted San Francisco University High School MVP in 2016 and most valuable midfielder in 2015 … Father, Ron Cami '89, played football at Harvard … Mother, Ann Cami '89 and brother Brian Cami '19 also attended the College.

Isabella Di Pietro | Attack | 5-7 | New York, N.Y. | Trinity School
