World Cup Training Team Announced

SPARKS, Md. – Harvard women's lacrosse assistant coach Kayla Treanor has been selected to the U.S. training team for the 2017 Federation of International Lacrosse Women's World Cup to be held in Guildford, England July 13-22.

Treanor was one of 25 players selected from a pool of 36 players after the first-ever Team USA Fall Classic. The training team will compete in Florida next January at the Team USA Spring Premiere. Following the event, the final 18 players plus two alternates will be selected to represent the U.S. as the team goes for a third consecutive and eighth overall world title.

Treanor, a four-time All-America at Syracuse, previously won a gold medal for the U.S. with the U-19 squad in 2012 before joining the USA Senior Team the following year. Treanor is in her first season as an assistant with the Crimson after graduating from Syracuse last spring.
