PRINCETON, N.J. – Senior attacker Marisa Romeo has been named the Co-Ivy League Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday, March 6.
Romeo paced the Crimson offense with five goals and two assists to lead Harvard past Yale, 14-13, in its Ivy League and home-opener last Saturday. The Syracuse, New York native found the back of the mesh four times in the opening half and then provided the would-be game-winner with 5:47 left in regulation. The seven points matches her career-high.
This is the second Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week honor in Romeo's career. She is a three-time All-Ivy League honoree.
Harvard continues its home-heavy stretch of games this weekend, hosting Siena Saturday, March 11 and Ohio State March 13. Both games will be played at 3 p.m. and broadcast on the Ivy League Digital Network.
