CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Coming off an Ivy League Tournament bid, six members of the 2017 Harvard women's lacrosse team have been named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, and the team was also named to the IWCLA Academic Honor Squad as a whole. Recent graduates Marina Burke '17, Emma Ford '17 and Megan Hennessey '17 earned their place on the Academic Honor Roll, along with juniors Julia Glynn, Eliza Guild and Nekele McCall.
Marina Burke earned Spring Academic All-Ivy this past year along with IWCLA All-Northeast Region second team honors. The Ivy League first teamer started every game for the Crimson, causing 28 turnovers and picking up 31 ground balls.
Defender Emma Ford was All-Ivy honorable mention this past year following her selection as a preseason All-America honorable mention. She started every game this season, scooping up 25 ground balls and causing 17 turnovers.
Midfielder Megan Hennessey completed the season earning All-Ivy League honorable mention honors. She scored 14 goals to go along with four assists, while leading the team in both draw controls (37) and ground balls (36).
Junior Julia Glynn earned All-Ivy League honorable mention honors and was named to the Ivy League All-Tournament team. The midfielder scored 21 goals along with four assists this year to total 25 points on the season.
Midfielder Eliza Guild earns the honor following a campaign scoring 10 goals while dishing out three assists. She scooped up a career-high 16 ground balls to go along with nine draw controls.
Nekele McCall appeared in 12 games for the Crimson, starting six of them. She tallied 22 draw controls to go along with her 12 ground balls on the year.
To qualify as a team for the honor squad, the team must have posted a team GPA of 3.0 or higher for the academic year. To make the Division I Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.5 or higher.
