PRINCETON, N.J. – Harvard Wrestling opened its two-match road trip with a 31-12 loss at No. 18/10 (InterMat/FloWrestling) Princeton on Saturday afternoon. The Crimson led after six matches, but could not hold onto the lead to fall to 1-6 on the season (1-4 EIWA).

Lukus Stricker put Harvard on the board early in the day with his pin of Jonathan Gomez at 133 pounds. The referee lifted the sophomore's hand after stopping Gomez at the 4:33 mark. The pin was his team-best second of the campaign.

Ryan Friedman carried the momentum into the next match at 141 pounds, earning a 3-1 decision over Marshall Keller. The victory propelled Harvard to a 9-3 lead, but Princeton (5-4; 1-0 EIWA) answered with a pair of major decisions to move out in front, 11-9.

Staring at a two-point deficit, Tyler Tarsi took care of business at 165 pounds. The senior posted a 13-7 decision in his bout with Dale Tiongson to help Harvard take a slim 12-11 advantage. Princeton, however, racked up a pair of major decisions, one fall and forfeit in the final four matches to close out the day.
