PROVIDENCE, N.Y. – The Harvard women's rugby team finished 4-1 at the Brown 7s Invitational Sunday, taking home third place after defeating Dartmouth, 24-0, in the consolation championship game.
Harvard opened the tournament with a 31-5 win over Brown. In its next contest against Norwich, the Crimson used tries from sophomores Caitlin Weigel and Rachel Harkavy, as well as freshman Emily Prentice to top the Cadets, 26-12.
After falling in a tough contest to Army, 26-10, Harvard bounced back with a 29-0 thrashing against Dartmouth B. Freshmen Delia Hellander and Dominique Cantave both touched down for Harvard in the win.
The Crimson then earned third place overall with a 24-0 victory over Dartmouth A as senior Claire Collins led the attack with a try.
Harvard will be back in action Sunday, April 23 for the Ivy 7s Championships at Dartmouth.
