PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The No. 7 Harvard women's rugby team opened Ivy play with a 84-8 victory over No. 10 Brown on Sunday afternoon at Marvel Field. The Crimson moves to 3-0-1 this season.
Sophomore Delia Hellander scored the first try of the second half, bringing the score to 44-0 after a successful conversion by junior Jenny Kronish. Later in the half, freshman Milan Roberts brought the score to 77-3 in favor of the Crimson. A final try by senior captain Maya Learned helped Harvard defeat Brown, 84-8.
"Today was a good opportunity for us to build chemistry, try out combinations and get more players minutes across the board," said head coach Mel Denham. "We saw improvement in our tactical decision making and skill execution, which are things we are always working on. An incredible display of sportsmanship was seen throughout the 80 minutes. Brown were a great host and we look forward to continue working with them as we grow varsity rugby in the Ivy League."
- Nine different players scored for the Crimson, including three tries courtesy of sophomore Brooklynn Davis.

Harvard returns home on Saturday Oct. 7 to host Dartmouth at 1 p.m. The game will air on the Ivy League Network.
