CAMBRIDGE, Mass.– After a strong 15s season that led to an appearance in the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) Championship, the Harvard women's rugby team has revealed its 2019 schedule. The team will have two home matchups at Mignone Field, both broadcast on ESPN+.
Harvard opens the season on Aug. 31 against Quinnipiac for the first of two meetings. The following weekend, the team will travel to Army West Point for a Sept. 7 clash. After enjoying a bye week, the Crimson hosts rival Dartmouth to begin its conference slate on Sept. 21.
The team will then have its second home tilt, taking on Quinnipiac on Oct. 5. Following the homestand, Harvard will hit the road on Oct. 12 to face Notre Dame College, before finishing out the regular season against Brown in Providence, R.I., on Oct. 19.
The 2019 Ivy Championship will take place on Oct. 26 at the campus of the top seed, Last season, the Crimson won the title, after defeating Dartmouth, 12-3. The NIRA semifinal will begin on Nov. 10 and will be followed by the national championship, which is set for Nov. 16.
Harvard finished the 15s season with an 8-2 record, including an appearance in the NIRA National Championship and an Ivy Championship victory.
