CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard's Margaret Purce has been named to the U.S. U-23 Women's National Team roster that will travel to Norway this week to compete in the Four Nations Tournament (May 27-31). Purce and the American's will take on the likes of England, Sweden and Norway, the host country.
The USA features a 22-player roster made up of 19 collegiate players and three women from the professional ranks. Purce, who makes her debut with the U-23 team, represents the only player from a school in the Northeast on the roster.
Purce, who played with the U.S. during the U-20 FIFA World Cup this past summer, took part in the U-23 Women's National Team training camp in Lakewood Ranch, Florida in April.
Named to the NSCAA/Continental Tire All-Region First Team, Purce was among the league leaders and headlined the Ivy League Championship-winning Crimson attack. The First Team All-Ivy honoree marked 10 goals and added two assists for 22 points. She also tallied four multi-goal games and six multi-point outings as a sophomore in 2014.
