CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – In the midst of a four-game stretch on the road, Harvard women's soccer dropped a contest at Boston College, 3-0, on Wednesday night. Harvard falls to 2-3 with the result, while the Eagles improve to 6-0-1.
Seniors Karly Zlatic and Rachel Garcia tallied three shots apiece for the Crimson, which was held without a goal for the first time this season. Freshman Kat Hess and sophomore Danielle Etzel split time in goal, making four and two saves, respectively.
Boston College added goals in the 28th and 30th minutes, respectively, by McKenzie Meehan and Olivia Vaughn. Harvard tallied four shots over the next 30 minutes of play, but the Eagles extended the advantage to 3-0 in the 65th minute after a score from Lauren Bergman.
Harvard continues its non-conference campaign at Providence Sept. 11. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m., and will be broadcast on Friars.com.
