PRINCETON, N.J. – After finding the back of the net twice and tallying five points, senior Margaret Purce has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week for Sept. 12-18.
Purce steered the Crimson to a 2-0 week with strong play at New Hampshire and two goals and an assist at home against Villanova. In only eight games this season, the senior goal-scorer has notched an impressive seven goals and 16 points. With 37 career goals, Purce sits tied for third place on the Crimson's career goals list.
This is Purce's second accolade from The Ivy League this season and seventh of her career. Harvard begins conference play with a road contest at Penn on Sept. 24 and takes on Yale in Cambridge on Oct. 1.
