KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Finding success on the turf and in the classroom, Harvard's men's and women's soccer programs have each earned 2015-16 Team Academic Awards from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
To qualify for the award, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year. Harvard is one of 221 schools to receive the honor on both the men's and women's side, and 892 total teams were recognized with the award across all collegiate levels.
Harvard men's soccer went 9-6-2 a year ago, and is off to a 4-3-2 start to 2016. The women's team is 7-3 this season after posting an 8-7-2 record in 2015.
Both Harvard programs host Cornell this weekend, Saturday, Oct. 8, with both contests shown on the Ivy League Digital Network.
