CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Earning the opportunity to represent her country, sophomore Lara Schenk was one of 35 players that formed a pool for the under-20 national team for Germany's national team camp. The camp ran from Nov. 4-8 in Teistungen, Germany.
Schenk, who hails from Seelze, Germany, is no stranger to the German national team system, as she has seen time each year with the under-15s through the under-19s, including a title at the 2017 U17 European championships.
Able to play along the back line or in the midfield, Schenk helped Harvard to a 12-3-1 record in 2019, including a 5-1-1 mark in Ivy League play. The sophomore scored one goal, and played every minute in helping Harvard to eight clean sheets on the season.
