Harvard earned its second-straight 7-2 decision over Trinity (Gil Talbot).
HARTFORD, Conn. - Hitting the road for the first time since December, No. 1 women's squash downed perennial foe No. 5 Trinity, 7-2, at the Kellner Squash Center Thursday evening to wrap-up non-conference play this season.
Harvard (6-0, 3-0 Ivy League) handed Trinity (7-3) its second-straight loss, while earning its second 7-2 decision over the Bantams, with its previous triumph coming in last season's CSA Team National Championship match.
Sabrina Sobhy and Kayley Leonard returned to the court to post impressive victories against reigning CSA first team All-Americans. Alyssa Mehta earned her second victory of the season at the No. 3 spot to round out the victories for Harvard's top three.
Sophie Mehta also made her return to the court at the No. 8 position, picking up the win by injury default to improve to 5-0. Saumya Karki earned her fifth sweep of the season with a triumph at the No. 9 position.
Harvard will resume Ivy League action as it travels to Columbia Feb. 6 for a noon contest.
