No. 1 Women's Squash Clinches Share of Ivy League Title With 9-0 Sweep over No. 9 Brown

Harvard clinched a share of its 20th Ivy League title (Gil Talbot).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 1 women's squash earned a share of the Ivy League title with its third-straight sweep, taking all 27 games from No. 9 Brown Friday night at the Murr Center Squash Courts in its final home match of the season.

Harvard (9-0, 6-0 Ivy League) earned its fifth sweep over an Ivy League foe this season, claiming its 47th-straight win over Brown (6-7, 0-6 Ivy League), maintaining its perfect 47-0 record in the all-time series. With the win, Harvard has clinched at least a share of its 20th Ancient Eight title and with a win Sunday at Yale will earn the championship outright. Match time at Yale is set for 1 p.m.

Sabrina Sobhy earned her sixth triumph of the season at the No. 1 position. Katherine Tutrone picked up her second win at the No. 2 spot, while Michelle Gemmell earned her eight win of the season.

Sue Ann Yong tallied her sixth victory of the year, while Saumya Karki earned her eighth win and Dileas MacGowan earned her seventh.

Sophie Mehta, Isabelle Dowling and Caroline Monrad picked up their first wins at the respective No. 7, No. 8 and No. 9 positions to round out the Crimson sweeps.
