Ivy Champs! No. 1 Women's Squash Claims Outright Title With Sweep at No. 5 Yale

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – No. 1 women's squash captured its 20th Ivy League championship in program history, earning a 9-0 sweep at No. 5 Yale to claim the outright title Sunday afternoon at the Brady Squash Center.

Harvard (10-0, 7-0 Ivy League) finished the Ivy League season with an undefeated mark for the 18th time in program history to capture its fourth title in the past seven seasons. The 20th title marks the most in Ancient Eight history, besting Princeton by 14 titles.

The Crimson earned its sixth sweep in conference play this season, taking all but one game against Yale (11-4, 4-3 Ivy League).

Sabrina Sobhy completed her perfect season in Ancient Eight play, earning her seventh win at the No. 1 position.

Katherine Tutrone earned her fifth triumph at the No. 4 position, while Michelle Gemmell picked up her sixth at the No. 5 spot and Sue Ann Yong earned her fifth at the No. 6 spot.

Saumya Karki and Sophie Mehta finished the regular season unblemished with their ninth victories at the respective No. 7 and No. 9 positions, while Dileas MacGowan earned her eight win.

Harvard will have a week off before returning to New Haven for the CSA Team National Championship Feb. 26-28.
