Top-Ranked Women’s Squash Blanks No. 3 Trinity, 9-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The top-ranked women's squash team (8-0, 5-0 Ivy) blanked No. 3 Trinity, 9-0, Wednesday at the Murr Center Courts. The Crimson will look to secure atleast a share of the Ivy title on Friday against Yale.

Senior Sabrina Sobhy remained undefeated on the season, defeating Luz Sarahi Lopez Dominguez, 11-6, 11-3, 11-7. Junior Gina Kennedy made quick work of her opponent, Min Jie Teh, 11-7, 11-6, 11-6. Kennedy's classmate, Amelia Henley, rounded out the top-three with a 12-10, 11-7, 12-10 victory against Salma Alam Eldin.

Junior Eleonore Evans defeated Nadiia Usenko, 11-8, 11-5, 11-3 as the team's No. 7. Sophomore Hannah Craig showcased the Crimson's depth at the No. 9 spot with a dominant 11-5, 11-7, 11-6 victory.

Harvard Highlights:

  • The Crimson extend its unbeaten streak to 60 games, dating back to the 2014-15 season (Jan. 12).
  • Harvard adds to its all-time program record against Trinity, 41-12.
  • Through eight matches, the Crimson have yet to allow a point, winning all of its matches by a 9-0 score.
  • Harvard won 27 of the 31 games in the contest against Trinity.
  • In the past week, the Crimson has beat the No. 1 and No. 3 teams by 9-0 margins.

Up Next:
The Crimson will look to capture the Ivy League title Friday when it hosts No. 6 Yale at 5 p.m. at the Murr Center Courts. The match will be broadcast on ESPN3 and international platforms.
