CAMBRIDGE, Mass – Coming off a dramatic win, the top-ranked Harvard Crimson (4-0, 3-0 Ivy) will travel to New York for another pair of matches with top-10 opponents. On Saturday, Jan. 18, the Crimson will play the sixth-ranked Stanford Cardinal at the Harvard Club of New York. Match time is set for 1:45 p.m.
Harvard leads the all-time series with the Cardinal, 16-0, adding two wins to the record last season. Harvard has won the past five matches against Stanford by a combined score of 45-0. On Sunday, the Crimson will take on No. 10 Columbia at the SL Green StreetSquash Center in Manhattan. The combined matches with the men will take place at 1:30 p.m.
The last time out, the Crimson defeated the Princeton Tigers in dramatic fashion thanks to a walk-off win by Eleonore Evans at the fourth pairing. After going back and forth throughout the match, Evans found herself in the final pairing with the score tied at 4-4. The senior battled back from a 2-1 game deficit to win the pairing 3-2, and the match, 5-4 for the Crimson.

- Three Crimson athletes are a perfect 4-0 on the season. Junior Hannah Craig, sophomore Hana Moataz and senior Eleonore Evans all carry undefeated records into the weekend.
- Defending CSA national champion, Gina Kennedy is off to a roaring start in 2020, winning both her matches by a combined score of 66-17.
- The Crimson remains perfect in the top four pairings, registering a 16-0 record thus far.
Leading the Way
Mike Way, the Gregory Lee '87 and Russell Ball '88 Endowed Coach for Harvard University and James Herscot '58 Coach of Excellence, is in his 10th season as the head coach for both men's and women's squash. Way is coming off a historic 2018-19 season in which both his teams won the Ivy League and national title. In addition, Way coached the individual national champion in each division. Victor Crouin won the Pool Trophy and Gina Kennedy earned her second Ramsay Cup a year ago.
Harvard will be back at the Murr Center squash courts next weekend, Jan. 25-26, to take on the eighth-ranked Drexel Dragons.
