Women’s Squash Takes Down No. 6 Stanford, 8-1

NEW YORK –  It only took a New York minute for the Harvard women's squash team to defeat the No. 6 Stanford Cardinal on Saturday afternoon, 8-1. The No. 1 overall Crimson (5-0, 3-0 Ivy) won pairings 1-8 on its way to its fifth win of the season. The match was played at the Harvard Club of New York, located in Midtown Manhattan.

First-year Evie Coxon, junior Hannah Craig and sophomore Hana Moataz kicked off the match at the seventh, sixth and third pairings, respectively. All three players won their matches by a score of 3-0 to give the Crimson a quick 3-0 lead.

Senior captain Gina Kennedy continued her personal winning streak, defeating her opponent at the first position, 3-0. Kennedy won by a combined score of 33-11 to put the Crimson one point away from the win.

Senior Eleonore Evans clinched the victory for the nation's top-ranked team yet again, with her 3-2 victory at the fourth position.

Junior Maddie Chai, senior Amelia Henley and first-year Charlotte Orcutt also added wins on the afternoon.
