CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's tennis team begins its fall season this weekend with the eight-team, Harvard Fall Classic at the Beren Tennis Center.
Amongst the teams competing are Air Force, Boston College, Boston University, Buffalo, Connecticut, Delaware and Georgetown.

In the Rankings
Lexi Milunovich climbed to No. 111 in the Oracle/ITA singles rankings (Jan. 4) last year. Milunovich finished the season with a 7-6 singles record, including a perfect 5-0 tour mark.
Harvard finished the 2016-17 season ranked No. 48 in the Oracle/ITA poll (May 24) with a 17-8 record, including a 5-2 mark in Ivy League play. Over a six-week period between Feb. 25 and April 14 the Crimson was 12-1 with League wins over No. 44 Dartmouth, Yale and Columbia.
Scouting Air Force
The Falcons enter the weekend after hosting their own two-day invitational (Sept. 15-16). Sophomore TJ Fumagalli and junior Elizabeth Barnickel led the way earning a pair of singles titles to go along with a doubles title.
Scouting Boston College
The Eagles begin the 2017-2018 season this weekend after posting an 11-14 record a year ago. Asiya Dair returns for her senior season after earning ACC third team honors with a 12-12 record last year.
Scouting Boston University
The Terriers are coming off the Columbia Invitational last weekend (Sept. 15-17). Freshman Emily Kim led the Terriers winning the Staten Island draw, 3-0 while senior Iryna Kostirko made it to the finals of the top flight.
The Bulls finished the 2016-2017 season with a 14-9 overall record, including wins in eight of their last nine matches. Senior Tanja Stojanovska, who was an All-MAC first team selection, finished with a 24-9 singles record.
The Huskies are coming off the Quinnipiac Invitational (Sept. 15-17) where they went 21-4 in singles. Senior Yelyzaveta Pletnyeva won the A flight singles title after winning four-straight matches.
The Blue Hens are coming off Maryland's Bedford Cup (Sept. 15-17). Sophomore Brooke Pilkington made it to the top-flight singles quarterfinals before falling to George Washington.
The Hoyas are coming off Maryland's Bedford Cup (Sept. 15-17). Doubles tandem Drew Spinosa and Sara Swift advanced to the quarterfinals winning back-to-back doubles matches.
ITA All-Academic Team
Six members of the 2016-2017 Harvard women's tennis team was recognized by the International Tennis Association (ITA). Natasha Gonzalez, June Lee, Irene Lu, Lexi Milunovich, Annika Ringblom and Sabrina earned All-Academic Team honors with a 3.5 GPA or better.

The Harvard women's tennis class of 2021 includes Neha Gupta (Elk Grove, Calif./Cosumnes Oaks), Jenna Moustafa (Los Angeles, Calif./Harvard-Westlake) and Anna Li (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny).
Leading the Way
Traci Green, the Sheila Kelly Palandjian Head Coach for Harvard women's tennis, enters her 10th season as the second winningest coach in Crimson women's tennis history with a 109-94 record. Last season she guided Harvard to a 17-8 overall record, including a 5-2 Ivy League record as well as picked up her 100th and 101st career victories in duals against Stony Brook and Providence.
