NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Harvard women's tennis team fell in the first round of the ECAC Tournament Friday afternoon to Penn, 4-1. The team will take on the loser of the Columbia and Yale matchup Saturday at 11 a.m. The match will be broadcast on ESPN3.
Beginning with doubles play, Penn took the early point. In singles play, junior Natasha Gonzalez bested OJ Singh, 6-1, 6-4 to score the lone point for the Crimson. Both juniors Jenna Friedel and Irene Lu did not finish with the outcome decided, despite a chance at victory.
