Oosterhout and Gonzalez Earn All-Ivy First Team Accolades

PRINCETON, N.J. – Senior Erica Oosterhout and junior Natasha Gonzalez earned first-team All-Ivy league recognition for the 2018-19 season, the conference announced Thursday afternoon. Oosterhout collected all-league recognition for her singles performance and teamed with Gonzalez to form an all-Ivy doubles tandem. Junior Jenna Friedel, meanwhile, earned a second-team All-Ivy nod in singles.

This marks the third-straight season Oosterhout has been named a first-team selection in the Ivy League. She posted a 15-11 overall singles record for a team that finished in second place in the conference. During the course of the season, Oosterhout defeated No.47 Caroline Lampl of Stanford and No. 109 Bianca Mok of Denver.

In doubles play, Oosterhout and Gonzalez impressed as the team's top pairing. So much so that they were voted as unanimous selections by the league's head coaches. The duo finished with a 13-6 overall record on the season, including a 5-2 mark in conference play. Along the way, the pairing defeated No. 75 Samantha Maritinelli and Jessie Gong of Yale, 6-3.

Friedel earned second-team all-Ivy recognition for finishing with an impressive 18-5 record. The junior finished the spring season with a 13-3 record as the team's No. 2 singles player, including a 5-2 record against Ivy competition.
