Women's Tennis Starts Strong in Day 1 of Fall Classic

Cambridge, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis finished up day one of the fall classic with three wins against opponents from Boston College. The Crimson played in the afternoon time slot on the outdoor courts at the Beren Tennis Center.

Harvard's top performer was first-year Sophia Ho, who bested BC's Maria Ross 6-3, 6-3. Rachel Lim and Natasha Gonzalez both own their matches in the third-round tiebreak.

On the doubles courts, The Crimson had one duo pull out a win. The tandem of Annika Bassey and Sophia Ho defeated Natasha Irani and Laura Lopez from BC, 6-4.

The Crimson returns to the court tomorrow afternoon, when they take on opponents from BC and Rhode Island at 2:15.
