Women’s Tennis Opens Up Spring Schedule Against Quinnipiac

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Winter break is officially over for the Harvard women's tennis team, which has returned to Cambridge for its Spring season opener on Monday. The Crimson will take on the Quinnipiac Bobcats at the Murr Center Tennis Courts to kick off its 2020 slate. The Crimson is 2-0 all-time against Quinnipiac, with both wins being by 6-1 margins the past two seasons.

The Crimson is looking to build on an impressive fall season in which Harvard registered a combined record of 44-25 in singles play, led by first-year Mihaela Marculescu at 9-2.

In doubles action, Harvard notched a 25-14 mark in the fall, led by the pairing of Marculescu and first-year Demi Snyder at 6-1. Senior captain Natasha Gonzalez and sophomore Rachel Lim paired up for the first time this fall at the ITA Northeast Regional tournament, where they went 3-1 and advanced to the final eight in the 64-team bracket.

Leading the Way
Traci Green, the Sheila Kelly Palandjian Head Coach for Harvard women's tennis, begins her 13th season at the helm for the Crimson. Green returns a veteran team that played a pivotal role in helping the Crimson to a 17-win season and a second-place finish in the Ivy League. Currently at 140 wins in her career, Green has the second most wins in team history for a head coach.
