Corinne Bain to Take Part in U.S. National Team Tryouts
Bain is set to participate in the 2016 U.S. Women's National Team Open Tryouts (Scott Bruhn).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior Corinne Bain will be taking part in the U.S. Women's National Team Open Tryouts, set to take place Feb. 19-21 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The tryouts will be live streamed, beginning Friday at 12 p.m. EST, and can be viewed here.

Playing both setter and outside hitter in Harvard's 6-2 offensive system, Bain ranked among the Ivy League leaders in nearly every statistical category in 2015 including kills per set (13th, 2.43), assists per set (9th, 5.61), digs per set (8th, 3.42), blocks per set (12th, 0.79), aces per set (9th, 0.24) and points per set (11th, 3.1).

A three-time unanimous selection to the All-Ivy League first team, Bain is the Harvard record holder for career triple-doubles (24), career double-doubles (54), and single season aces (50). She was also named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-East Region team following the 2014 and 2015 seasons, as well as the Academic All-Ivy League team for her second straight year.

A native of Manhattan Beach, California, the junior is already second in program history in career aces (115), sixth in assists (1,722) and sixth in digs per set (3.04).

The tryout will evaluate approximately 231 athletes, from 88 colleges across the country, for spots on the U.S. Women's National Team and the U.S. Collegiate National Team program. It will be documented with a video series hosted by Olympian Stacy Sykora, available through the team's social media channels, @USAVolleyball.

USA Volleyball will announce its selections by the end of March, once all roster spots are confirmed.
