CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Senior Corinne Bain became the ninth student-athlete in the history of Ivy League volleyball and the first at Harvard to earn First Team All-Ivy honors four times, as the conference announced its postseason awards today. Sophomore Christina Cornelius and freshman Grace Roberts Burbank earned Second Team All-Ivy recognition after standout seasons for the Crimson.

Bain had an excellent all around season for the Crimson, tops in NCAA Division I volleyball with eight triple doubles on the year. She is the conference’s all-time leader in triple-doubles (32) and double-doubles (66). Baine led Harvard this season with 554 assists (6.44 assists/set) and 27 service aces, while also recording 187 kills and 223 digs. She broke Harvard’s all-time record for career service aces earlier in the year, finishing with 142, and was fourth all-time in school history with 2,276 assists.

Roberts Burbank led Harvard with 242 kills on the season (2.95 kills/set) and finished second in the Ivy League with 183 kills (3.27 kills/set) in conference play. She notched double-digit kills in nine of 14 league contests, and recorded a career high 26 kills, the most by any Harvard player in a single game this season, in a five set win against Yale on Nov. 11.

Cornelius finished second on the team with 195 kills (2.22 kills/set), adding 116 digs and a team-best 84 blocks (13 block solos, 71 block assists). She recorded a career high 12 blocks against Cornell on Oct. 15 and was one of Harvard’s most consistent players, notching seven or more kills in 19 of 23 matches.
