Bain Earns Co-Ivy League Player of the Week Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. –
Senior Corinne Bain captured Co-Ivy League Player of the Week honors, the league announced Monday. She shares the weekly honor with Cara Mattaliano of Princeton. Bain is in the midst of an outstanding all-around stretch for the Crimson, matching a career-best streak with four straight triple-doubles. She played a key role in Harvard's weekend split against Columbia (W, 3-0) and Cornell (L, 2-3).

On Friday night against the Lions, Bain notched 13 kills, 16 assists and 13 digs, adding four block assists to help Harvard to a decisive sweep against Columbia. The following night, Bain recorded 15 kills, 20 assists, and a career-high 12 block assists to go along with six digs in the five-set loss against Cornell.

Bain is the Ivy League's all-time leader in triple-doubles (28) and double-doubles (61). She also leads Harvard with 18 service aces this season, and holds Harvard's all-time record in that category with 133, a mark she established this year. Bain also sits in fourth place in school history with 2,128 assists. She has earned Ivy League weekly honors 15 times in her career, including 10 player of the week awards.

Harvard hosts Dartmouth next Friday at Malkin Athletic Center with first serve scheduled for 7 p.m. The match will be streamed live on the Ivy League Digital Network.
