Grace Roberts Burbank Earns Ivy Co-Rookie of the Week Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. –
Freshman Grace Roberts Burbank earned Co-Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors, the conference announced Monday. Roberts Burbank concluded an outstanding freshman campaign this past weekend by leading the Crimson attack in wins against Yale (W, 3-2) and Brown (W, 3-2) at Malkin Athletic Center.

On Friday night against the Bulldogs, Roberts Burbank notched a career best 26 kills, the highest single game total by any member of the Crimson this season. She added seven digs and a service ace. On Saturday night against Brown, Roberts Burbank again led Harvard with 18 kills, adding five digs and a service ace in another five-set win.

For the season, Roberts Burbank led Harvard with 242 kills overall and finished second in the Ivy League with 183 kills in conference play. She finished the season second among Ivy League freshmen with an average of 3.27 kills per set in 14 Ivy League contests. She recorded double-digit kills in nine Ivy League games.

Harvard completed the 2016-17 season with a 9-14 record overall and a 7-7 Ivy League mark, good enough for a fourth place finish in the conference.
