  • Women’s Volleyball Picks Up 3-1 Win over Penn

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Returning to the Malkin Athletic Center for its only home weekend of play for the month of October, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (4-12, 2-5 Ivy League) picked up a 3-1 win over Penn tonight, Oct. 19, at the Malkin Athletic Center. The Crimson picked up the win over the Quakers by set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 22-25 and 25-18.
  • Women’s Volleyball Tripped Up by Princeton

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Despite a third set rally that featured extra points, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (3-12, 1-5 Ivy League) was tripped up by Princeton, 3-0, tonight, Oct. 18 at the Malkin Athletic Center. The Crimson fell to the Tigers by set scores of 15-25, 18-25 and 27-29.
  • Women’s Volleyball Returns Home to Host Princeton, Penn

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Following a four-match road stretch, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (3-11, 1-4 Ivy League) will return home to take on Princeton and Penn this weekend, Oct. 18-19 at the Malkin Athletic Center. First serve against the Tigers on Friday night is set for 7 p.m., before the Crimson face the Quakers on Saturday at 5 p.m. Both contests will be broadcast on ESPN+.

    ITHACA, N.Y. – Concluding its four-match road stretch, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (3-11, 1-4 Ivy League) suffered a 3-1 setback to Cornell (12-2, 5-0 Ivy League) tonight, Oct. 12, at the Newman Arena. After making a comeback in the third set to stay alive and force a decisive fourth set, the Crimson fell to the Big Red by set scores of 17-25, 23-25, 25-21 and 20-25.
  • Women’s Volleyball Drops 3-0 Decision to Columbia

    NEW YORK, N.Y. – Continuing its four-match road stretch, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (3-10, 1-3 Ivy League) dropped a 3-0 decision to Columbia (9-5, 2-2 Ivy League) tonight, Oct. 11, at the Levien Gymnasium. The Crimson fell by set scored of 23-25, 20-25 and 15-25.

  • Allen Tabbed Ivy League Rookie of the Week

    PRINCETON, N.J. – Earning her first league honor of her career, first-year Grace Allen of the Harvard women’s volleyball team was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference today, Oct. 7. In Harvard’s 3-0 sweep over Brown this past weekend, Allen led the Crimson attack with 13 kills and zero errors to register a team-best .722 hitting percentage. The first-year also added three blocks to her dominant performance against the Brown Bears. Prior to Saturday’s contest, Allen recorded six kills and zero errors to hit at a .600 clip against Yale.
  • Women’s Volleyball Sweeps Brown, 3-0

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Closing out its first Ivy League road trip of the season, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (3-9, 1-2 Ivy League) swept Brown (9-4, 1-2 Ivy League), 3-0, to pick up its first conference win of the year. The Crimson moved to 1-2 in league action after defeating the Brown Bears by set scores of 25-17, 25-20 and 25-23.

The Crimson fell to the Bulldogs by set scores of 22-25, 23-25 and 17-25.

The five-set, closely contested loss came by set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 20-25, 19-25 and 6-15.

The Crimson dropped to 2-5 on the season by set scores of 25-15, 12-25, 17-25, 25-23 and 18-20.
  • Women’s Volleyball Prepares for New England Challenge, Syracuse

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Returning to Cambridge for a pair of midweek matchups, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (2-4, 0-0 Ivy) will prepare for the New England Challenge, before facing Syracuse to cap off the three-match week. The Crimson will take on Boston College at the Malkin Athletic Center on Wednesday, Sept. 18 for a 7 p.m. tilt and travel to Northeastern on Thursday, Sept. 19 to compete for its third-consecutive New England Challenge crown. Harvard will then close out the week hosting Syracuse at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21.

    SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – On day two of the Thunderdome Classic hosted by UC Santa Barbara, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (2-3, 0-0 Ivy) dropped a 3-0 decision to San Diego in today’s afternoon contest. The Crimson fell by set scores of 14-25, 16-25 and 15-25.

    SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Opening the Thunderdome Classic in its second-straight weekend of tournament play, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (2-2, 0-0 Ivy) fell, 3-0, to La Salle (4-3, 0-0 A-10) on day one of competition at UC Santa Barbara. The Crimson was edged by set scores of 22-25, 17-25 and 22-25.
  • Women’s Volleyball Travels to UC Santa Barbara for Thunderdome Classic

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women’s volleyball team (2-1, 0-0 Ivy) will return to the court this weekend, traveling to UC Santa Barbara for the Thunderdome Classic, Sept. 13-14. The Crimson will first face La Salle on Friday, Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. EST, before taking on San Diego at 1 p.m. EST and host UCSB at 10 p.m. EST on Saturday, Sept. 14. 
  • Women’s Volleyball Splits Saturday Contests at Harvard Invitational

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Wrapping up the Harvard Invitational its in season-opening weekend, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (2-1, 0-0 Ivy) split its final two contests of the tournament today, Sept. 7. The Crimson closed out the night with a 3-1 victory of Rhode Island, after falling to Colgate, 3-1, earlier in the day. Following the tournament, senior Sope Adeleye and junior Sandra Zeng from the Crimson were named to the All-Tournament team for the strong contributions throughout the Invitational.
  • Women’s Volleyball Battles to Five-Set Victory Over Sacred Heart

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Kicking off its 2019 campaign at home, the Harvard women’s volleyball team battled to a five-set victory over Sacred Heart in its season opener on day one of the Harvard Invitational tonight, Sept. 6. The Crimson secured the 3-2 victory by set scores of 25-21, 19-25, 16-25, 25-12 and15-13. Harvard improves to 1-0 on the season, while Sacred Heart drops to 2-2.
  • Women’s Volleyball Set to Open Season Hosting Harvard Invitational

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women’s volleyball team is set to kick off its 2019 campaign this weekend, Sept. 6-7, hosting the Harvard Invitational at the Malkin Athletic Center. The Crimson will welcome Colgate, Rhode Island and Sacred Heart for a round-robin slate this Friday through Saturday. Harvard’s first serve of the season is slated for 7 p.m. on Friday against Sacred Heart. The Crimson will then face a doubleheader on Saturday, taking on Colgate at 1 p.m. and Rhode Island at 7 p.m. All matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Looking forward to its fall campaign, Harvard women's volleyball head coach Jennifer Weiss has announced its incoming Class of 2023 today. The four-member class consists of: Grace Allen, Ava Rauser, Katie Vorhies and Ashley Wang. The accomplished incoming first-years hail from four different states and add to a talented group of 12 returning letterwinners that went 11-12 overall and 6-8 in conference play during its 2018 campaign.
