LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the 11th consecutive year, Harvard women's volleyball has been recognized for its work in the classroom as the team earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for the 2019 season.

The award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.

Across men's and women's volleyball, 1,125 teams earned the 2018-19 distinction, including 189 in Division I women's volleyball, to set an all-time record. Seven out of the eight Ivy League women's volleyball programs earned the award, while the Crimson were also named to the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll for having a top-25 GPA.
