PRINCETON, N.J. – Earning her first league honor of her career, first-year Grace Allen of the Harvard women's volleyball team was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference today, Oct. 7.
In Harvard's 3-0 sweep over Brown this past weekend, Allen led the Crimson attack with 13 kills and zero errors to register a team-best .722 hitting percentage. The first-year also added three blocks to her dominant performance against the Brown Bears. Prior to Saturday's contest, Allen recorded six kills and zero errors to hit at a .600 clip against Yale.
The Crimson returns to the court this weekend, Oct. 11-12, traveling to Columbia and Cornell to continue league action. First serve on Friday against the Lions is slated for 7 p.m., while Harvard will take on the Big Red at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Both contests will be broadcast on ESPN+.
