GREENWOOD, Ind. – Excelling on the court and in the classroom, senior Sope Adeleye of the Harvard women's volleyball team has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team, as announced by the organization this week.
Adeleye has appeared in 16 matches and 14 starts for the Crimson this season, consistently leading Harvard's defense. The Germantown, Tenn. native leads the team with 1.12 blocks per set and ranks second in the Ivy League. A defensive and offensive staple, Adeleye ranks fourth on the team in hitting percentage at .301.
The Crimson will conclude its 2019 season this weekend, hosting Columbia and Cornell at the Malkin Athletic Center, Nov. 15-16. The Crimson will celebrate Adeleye and the rest of the Class of 2020 prior to Saturday's match against Columbia.1
