No. 17 Women’s Water Polo Set to Face Whittier, Wagner at Bruno Classic

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –No. 17 Harvard women's water polo will head to Providence, R.I. for the Bruno Classic on Saturday, Feb. 1. The Crimson will first face Whittier at 1 p.m., before taking on No. 18 Wagner at 6 p.m. Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.

What to Know

  • The Crimson is currently undefeated, after handedly defeating Villanova 21-5 and Iona 10-4 at the Harvard Mini on Jan. 25.
  • Harvard leads the series against Whittier 2-1, with the last matchup occurring in 2014.
  • The Crimson has come out victorious in its last two meetings with Wagner.
  • Sophomore Borden Wahl currently leads the team in goals with five, while fellow sophomore Evan Tingler has totaled a team-high six assists.

At the Helm
The Friends of Harvard Water Polo Head Coach, Ted Minnis, enters his 10th season with the Crimson, guiding the women's program to a 21-8 record last season. Minnis has accumulated 164 victories with the team.

The Crimson will travel to Lewisburg, Pa. for the Bucknell Invite, on Feb. 8-9. Harvard will face LIU, Saint Francis (Pa.), St. Francis Brooklyn and No. 18 Wagner.
