PRINCETON, N.J. --The Harvard men's water polo
team defeated Connecticut College, 15-5, Sunday morning, as the
Crimson finished ninth at the 2009 ECAC Championships held at
DeNunzio Pool.
Harvard's offense jumped on the Camels early, opening a 4-1 lead
after the first quarter of action. The Crimson continued to
push offensively and cruised to its third victory of the
season.
Alexandre Popp started in goal and turned aside 10 shots for the
victory. Kevin DiSilvestro had a team-best four goals, while
Egen Atkinson, Mike Katzer and Alex Thompson netted two goals
apeice. Max Eliot, Luka Babic, John Kolb, Bret Voith and Evan
Zepfel chipped in with a tally each.
Up next, the Crimson (3-8) will look to improve to 2-0 in the
Northern Division standings when the team visits Queens (N.Y.)
Saturday, Sept. 26 at 5 p.m.
