CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- The Harvard men's tennis team
defeated Boston College Friday night, 5-2, to pick up its fifth
victory of the season. The Crimson claimed the doubles point after
taking two of the three doubles matches. Harvard won the No. 2 and
3 matches while the Eagles captured the No. 1 slot.
Sophomore Alistair Felton and freshman Andy Nguyen partnered up
to pick up their 16th doubles win as a pair this season. The duo
won 8-5 at the second doubles position. At the No. 3 slot, junior
Alexei Chijoff-Evans and rookie Joshua Tchan picked up Harvard's
second doubles victory of the night to give the Crimson a 1-0 lead.
Harvard (5-4) claimed four of the six singles matches on the
night. Chijoff-Evans cruised to a victory at the top slot. Rookies
Christo Schultz and Nguyen picked up singles wins while senior
co-captain Michael Hayes rebounded to win at the No. 6 position.
Nguyen and Schultz rolled to straight set wins at the fourth and
fifth singles spots, respectively.
The Crimson returns to action as it takes on St. John's, Feb.
27, at the Murr Center Tennis Courts.
