MONTGOMERY, Ala.- The Harvard men's tennis team
closed out the Blue-Gray Championships with a 4-3 loss to Boise
State. With the loss, the Crimson sinks to 8-6 on the year. The
Broncos raise their record to 7-6 this season.
Harvard claimed an early 1-0 lead after taking two doubles
matches. Aba Omodele-Lucien and Christo Schultz earned a shutout at
the top doubles position, winning 8-0. Alexei Chijoff-Evans and
Joshua Tchan paired up to win the Crimson's second doubles match of
the day, 8-3 at the No. 3 slot.
Boise State captured four singles victories to take the match as
Harvard won two in singles play. Alistair Felton posted a 6-4, 7-6
win at the fourth singles spot. At the No. 6 position Schultz
picked up the Crimson's only other singles win by the same score as
Felton.
No. 50 Duke and Quinnipiac await Harvard next on the schedule.
The Crimson returns home to play the Blue Devils and the Bobcats,
March 26.
