CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The doubles team of Jonathan Pearlman and Casey MacMaster extended its win streak to four matches Monday as the Harvard men's tennis team fell to second-seeded Princeton, 6-1, in the third place match of the ECAC Indoor Championship at the Murr Center Tennis Courts.
The pair topped No. 74 Princeton's duo of Augie Bloom and Matt Spindler, 8-1, the same doubles team that Alistair Felton and Andy Nguyen defeated to win the ITA Northeast Regional Indoor championship in October.
Felton picked up the Crimson's lone point Monday with a three-set, 4-6, 6-4, 11-9, victory at the No. 2 singles spot against Spindler. The Tigers won the doubles point with a 9-7 edging of Felton and Nguyen by Matija Pecotic and Matt Siow at No. 1, another rematch from the ITA Regional, and an 8-2 win at the No. 3 slot.
The Crimson takes a week off before going on the road for the first time this spring March 5-6. Harvard will travel to Ball State March 5, and visit No. 12 Louisville March 6.
