The doubles team of Alistair Felton and Andy Nguyen won its 21st match of the season Sunday (Harvard Athletic Communications).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Brown came in to the Murr Center Tennis Courts Sunday and defeated the No. 65 Harvard men's tennis team for the first time in five years and seven tries with a 4-3 come-from-behind decision.
Harvard (14-10, 3-3 Ivy League) won the doubles point with wins from the teams of Casey MacMaster and Aba Omodele-Lucien at No. 1 and Alistair Felton and Andy Nguyen at No. 3, to take the early 1-0 lead in the dual. Brown came out and won four singles matches, though, the final coming at No. 4, where the rookie MacMaster fell to Brown's Kendrick Au, 7-5, 7-5.
The Crimson got singles wins from junior Jonathan Pearlman at No. 1, his second straight win at the top, and Joshua Tchan at No. 6, making it back-to-back wins for the sophomore at the bottom of the lineup.
Harvard will wrap up the regular season Wednesday with a match at Dartmouth scheduled for 3 p.m.
