CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 31 Harvard men's tennis team improved to 2-1 in Ivy League play and 13-6 overall, as it defeated No. 59 Princeton, 4-0, on Saturday.
The Crimson claimed the doubles point. Sophomore Nicky Hu and freshman Brian Yeung collected their seventh victory of the season as the pair downed Joshua Yablon and Thomas Colautii, 8-5. The Crimson duo of Christo Schultz and Sebastian Beltrame topped Dan Davies and Augie Bloom to seal the point for the home squad and improve to 7-4 on the season.
In singles action, Harvard took three courts to secure the win. Alex Steinroeder downed Day, 6-2, 6-3, on court three to improve to 8-5 on the year. Brian Yeung made quick work of Joshua Yablon, 6-2, 6-0, on court four to move to 4-3 in the fourth spot this season. Andrew Ball bested Augie Bloom, 6-4, 7-6, to improve to 6-1 when playing on court five.
The Crimson continues its Ivy League slate as it welcomes Penn to the Murr Center Tennis courts tomorrow. The match is slated for 1 p.m.
