NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In the opening round of the ITA Kickoff Tournament, Harvard women's tennis fell against host No. 12 Vanderbilt, 4-0. Harvard drops to 1-1 with the loss.
In singles play, June Lee could not overcome an early deficit against Vanderbilt's Sydney Campbell in the top singles slot. Annika Ringblom and Ellen Jang-Milsten, playing in the fourth and fifth positions, respectively, dropped straight-set matches as well.
In doubles play, Lee and Monica Lin were outlasted by No. 32 Campbell and Courtney Colton, 6-3, as were teammates Sylvia Li and Jang-Milsten, 6-5, in the second doubles position.
Harvard returns to the court Saturday, January 25 in Nashville against DePaul.
