The Crimson will compete against Boston College, Brown, Dartmouth, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Yale at Bulldog Invite (Athletic Communications).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After a week off from competition, the Harvard women's tennis team returns to action in New Haven, Conn., to compete in the Bulldog Invite for a three-day tournament. Harvard is competing in the invite for the first time.
Last Time Out
The Crimson combined for two doubles titles, one singles title, and two runner-up finishes at the Brown Invitational on Sept. 25-27. Senior Amanda Lin led Harvard on the court by earning a doubles title, with partner Annika Ringblom, and a second-place singles result. The other doubles title was earned by Isabel Jasper and June Lee in an 8-6 triumph against St. John's. One of the six draws played over the tournament ended in a championship battle between Harvard sophomores Nikki Kallenberg and Ringblom, and Kallenberg stole the match with scores of 2-6, 6-4 and 7-6.
Coop Athlete of the Week
Senior Amanda Lin and sophomore Annika Ringblom were both honored as COOP Athlete of the Week back-to-back weeks. Ringblom was chosen for the week of Sept. 22-26, while Lin won the week of Sept. 29-Oct. 3. Lin also posted a record-setting number of votes.

Back in Crimson
Sophomores Nikki Kallenberg, Annika Ringblom, Ellen Jang-Milsten, juniors June Lee and Danielle Mirda, and seniors Amy He and Amanda Lin return from the 2014-15 squad that went 7-12 overall. Kallenberg enters the 2015 season ranked No. 98 by the ITA and Ringblom was named to the All-Ivy League second team in doubles, concluding the season recording a 16-12 season with a partner, including 3-4 mark in Ivy League play.

Fresh Faces
Head Coach Traci Green added the eighth-best recruiting class in the country according to TennisRecruiting.net. Erica Oosterhout, Sabrina Xiong and Claire Spackman come to Harvard from around the world to make up Harvard's third consecutive top-ten class, and fifth in the past seven seasons.
On the Sidelines
Traci Green enters her ninth season at the helm for the Crimson. Under her guidance, Harvard won the program's 18th Ivy League title in 2009 with a 13-8 overall record and a 6-1 conference mark. Green owns a 114-103 overall record, including an 80-75 mark over the past nine seasons.
Aye Aye, Captain
Senior Amy He was chosen to be the team's captain for the 2015-16 academic year. He is the 53rd captain in program history.
Scouting Boston College
Junior Lexi Borr is competing in her first ITA All-American Championship in Pacific Palisades, California. At the Harvard Fall Classic, doubles pairings of Borr and Jackie Urbinati and Katya Vasilyev and Emily Safron sailed past their respective matches ending up meeting each other in the final match of the Doubles A draw. Borr came out on top in red division singles going undefeated at the classic.
Scouting Brown
The Bears wrapped up last season with a strong 11-9 overall record and a 4-3 Ivy League mark. Brown opened up this season at home in its Brown Invitational with junior Dayna Lord capturing the Bears' only title in a singles draw, defeating Ana Tyazusta of UMass, 7-6.
Scouting Dartmouth
The Big Green closed out the 2015 season at 19-6 overall and 5-2 in the Ivy League. Dartmouth opened its fall slate in the Tribe Tournament in Williamsburg, Virginia with an impressive 15-4 record against Maryland, Wake Forest, Virginia Commonwealth and Marshall.
Scouting Pittsburgh
Last season, Pittsburgh posted a 2-18 overall record and a 0-14 Atlantic Coast Conference record. In its opening matches of the season, the Panthers competed in the Miami Fall Invite in Florida and the Wildcat Invitational in Illinois. Sophomore Callie Frey placed second in the White singles draw in the Wildcat Invitational with a 3-1 mark.
Scouting Rutgers
The Scarlet Knights closed out the 2015 season with a 6-14 overall mark and 0-11 Big Ten record. At the start of the its fall season, Rutgers' junior Farris Cunningham finished second in her respective draw at the Brown Invitational, losing to St. John's Jade Collins, 6-1 and 6-1.
Scouting Yale
The Bulldogs traveled to Cambridge for the Harvard Fall Classic and to Philadelphia for the Cissie Leary Invitational for its first invitationals of the year. Raking in her first wins of her collegiate career, freshmen Caroline Amos walked into the championship match of the Crimson draw and won with scores of 7-5 and 7-5 against Wake Forest's Kasey Gardiner.
