No. 30 Men's Tennis Bests No. 45 Boise State

EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 30 Harvard men's tennis (4-1) took the first four points to best No. 45 Boise State in Evanston, Illinois Saturday afternoon. The Crimson clinched the win as junior Nicky Hu defeated Garrett Patton in straight sets (6-4, 6-4).

Harvard earned the doubles point after senior captain Denis Nguyen and sophomore Brian Yeung posted a 6-2 win over Toby Mitchell and Patton.

Rookie Grant Solomon started things off for the Crimson with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Danny Moyer in the No. 6 spot. Yeung wasn't far behind with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Abe Hewko. Hu clinched for the Crimson at the No. 2 spot before the Broncos were able to seal the next three points.  

At the No. 1 spot, Nguyen put up a strong showing against Thomas Tenreiro, but fell in three sets (6-1, 5-7, 0-1 (7)).

Harvard will be back in action tomorrow against host Northwestern, ranked No. 26 in the latest ITA poll.
